Messaging boards these days are crammed with threads that advocate Test + Dianabol as the ultimate mass building cycle.
Having used Dianabol multiple times over the past two decades, we couldn’t agree more with those posts.
Test and D-Bol are a great combo. Both compounds work great in synergy and D-bol in particular, gives you everything that you expect from anabolic steroids.
But it is not the be-all, end-all of mass building stacks.
Whatever happened to the good old Anadrol?
Why’s Dianabol hogging the limelight when Anadrol is an equally good (if not better) alternative?
Ask any seasoned steroid user who’s tried Anadrol and they would probably never do Dianabol again. It’s that effective.
So, if Dianabol hasn’t worked for you for some reason or if you are considering using an alternative compound for your next blast, then here are five reasons to consider Anadrol.
#1 – Anadrol makes you full, hard and veiny
Quite the opposite to Dianabol really which makes you big, but also turns you into a soaked sponge in the process.
Not Anadrol. It will turn you big in an equally short time duration. But you will look a lot harder and vascular. Your shoulders and traps fill up in no time.
The pumps are unbelievable. There are users who have pumps even in their abdominal muscles that make them pop out.
No other oral steroid has a similar effect on muscle pumps.
If you have been seeking a dry gains compound as opposed to a wet gain one, Anadrol is the perfect kick starter.
#2 – The strength gains from Anadrol are legendary
Anadrol is one of the best oral compounds if you are looking for a strength boost in the gym. Expect a massive surge in your strength in as little as a week. Many a time, the effects are visible by day three or four of the cycle.
If you have plateaued, then you won’t even notice how you surge past your previous best lifts. You will be adding plates to the bar like it’s a joke.
But we highly recommend that you go slow with the lifts during the first week as there is a high possibility that you might end up with an injury.
#3 – You might gain up to 20-30 lbs. in 6-weeks
That usually happens with first timers. Not all of it will be muscle though. There will be a fair amount of water and glycogen. Fat too.
But if you have your diet dialed down before you begin your cycle, you should be able to gain a decent amount of lean muscle that you can retain, as your injectable steroids begin to kick in.
#4 – You can use up to 100mg/day with very little hepatotoxicity
Here’s a clinical study conducted on healthy, older men who used Anadrol for 12-weeks at 50 and 100mg/day doses. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=oxymetholone+dwelling)
There was only a mild increase in AST and ALT levels in the 100mg/day group, with no liver enlargement or cholestasis.
What does that tell you? Anadrol is generally very well tolerated even at doses as high as 200mg/day.
Not that we recommend it. In fact, we highly recommend that you stick to 50mg/day even if you have used the compound before.
If you get no side effects whatsoever, then you can ramp it up to 100mg/day.
The results start to diminish as you increase the dose. So 200mg/day will not necessarily give you 2x the results of a 100mg dose. It will double the risk of side effects though.
#5 – Anadrol gives you the perfect roid aggression
Unlike Dianabol, which is a feel good steroid, Anadrol gives you a real sense of aggression.
You want to hit them weights hard every time you step into the gym and if you are careful enough, you can channelize that aggression into some great lifts.
However, some people get affected adversely and feel paranoid on Anadrol. There are some who experience extreme mood swings as well.
That’s why it’s crucial to start at a very low dose and then readjust as needed.
Anadrol and side effects
All these points might make you feel that Anadrol is the ‘PERFECT’ anabolic steroid that does not cause any side effects.
There are two ways to look at it.
Either it works for you or it doesn’t.
If it doesn’t, then you won’t touch it again with a barge pole after the first few weeks.
Here are some of the side effects that you might experience.
If you are sensitive to androgenic side effects of anabolic steroids, then do yourself a favor and stay away from Anadrol. It tends to cause extreme sides like severe acne, balding and voice deepening. Men who were prone to male pattern baldness have reported hair falling out in clusters. The acne outbreak can be extremely annoying.
The headaches on Anadrol are mainly caused due to the spike in blood pressure. So you want to keep a tab on your BP during the first few days of the cycle. Surprisingly, Anadrol might cause your pressure to spike even if you don’t hold a lot of water.
Some users experience the most painful muscle cramps on Anadrol. The cramps can manifest in any body part. Some get it in the forearms which makes them unable to lift even a lightweight dumbbell. Others get the cramps in their calves or lower back. Either ways, if the cramps hit, then just taper the dose down and stop.
Many-a-time, you don’t really need to use an AI or a SERM during a steroid cycle. But you do it anyway just to be doubly sure. With Anadrol, we recommend that you keep a close eye for symptoms. If you notice any itching in your nipples or one of the other signs of gynecomastia, start with AI immediately. Letrozole or any other AI should be able to dial down the Estrogen and prevent Gyno.
That sums up our brief guide on Anadrol for first timers. If you have never used it before as a kick starter, give it a shot.
If you don’t feel good on it, you can stop midway and continue using D’bol for the next cycle.
